About this Event 🎪
Kubernetes has changed how we think about application development, but it has also introduced additional complexity into the way we manage microservices. What is a simple way to extend Kubernetes for highly-available applications at scale?
This take will take you on a deep dive into Kong, an open-source API gateway for Kubernetes Ingress. Kong’s Ingress Controller implements authentication, load-balancing, traffic throttling, transformations, caching, metrics, and logging across Kubernetes clusters. And if you’re looking to go beyond by adding service mesh, Kuma is there for you!
About the speakers 📢:
👨🏻💻Adrien Nortain – CTO, Zenika Singapore
👨🏻💻Kevin Chen – Developer Advocate at Kong. Kevin is currently focused on enabling the open-source community contribution and engagement.
Prior to joining Kong, Kevin was an IBM software engineer where he worked on a hybrid-cloud data transfer platform. Outside of work, he is often found in the kitchen exploring a recipe or in the airport waiting to embark on his next trip.
Oh, and he herds 2 vicious cuddly cats at home. So don’t worry if he shows up at the meetup covered in scars, it’s the price one must pay to hug cats.
Who can join us? 🙌
Developers, Managers, Curious People
